Our community building experience, civil society organizations and internationally well-known public institutions. Hirondelle de l’Avenir, as a child protection expert, ensures an exclusive approach in which the children, who are at the heart of our concern, fully participate in their own development.
Thanks to the support of our partners, Hirondelle de l’Avenir France, with 11 years’ experience, execute development programmes in Benin, in close cooperation with its on the ground partners in the education and the professional training fields.
Our partnership with Scouts and Guides de France
“With my Scouts and Guides de France team, we went to Benin during the summer 2011 with the Hirondelle de l’Avenir association. I will always keep the taste of a simple and happy life, made with little daily wonders. With my five friends and right after finishing high school, we decided to go with the Hirondelle association we discovered one year before. We settled the project all year long; to offer animations and teaching games in the small village of Tourou, near Parakou. We flew to go to Benin with the aim of discovering this country and these children. I believe that, in the end, children taught us way more than we ever could have taught them! Their curiosity, their simplicity, and their humor allowed us to create strong relationships, and gave us the strength to surpass ourselves every day. We were welcomed by Rodrigue, a member of the association who lives in Cotonou, who also made us discover the culture and the country’s history by organizing tours in different places : I especially remember the “Door of No Return”, which struck me a lot, and the wide Garden of Plants and Nature in Porto-Novo, a place full of trees with magical benefits, and mischievous monkeys !”
