Exists since 2006 in zones where our programs are rolled out in order to meet as best as possible the local populations need.
The sharing of funds raised by Hirondelle de l’Avenir France allows to finance development programmes on the field, with a common strategy leaded in the long term as to guarantee the sustainability of our presence in communities and with the children.
Hirondelle de l’Avenir receives help from its donors and volunteers who are all committed to help disfavored children. Finally, the strong support of some celebrities let us relay our actions to a wide audience worldwide.
Hirondelle de l’Avenir France
Hirondelle de l’Avenir was founded in 2008, it is a French charitable association driven by humanitarian purposes. We are part of a the Hirondelle de l’Avenir network, we are an independent entity with its own organization, its governance and its donor network.
OUR TWO MAIN MISSIONS:
- The fund raising to finance development programmes in favour of children,
- The technical support for the set-up, the follow-up and the evaluation of these programmes.
HIRONDELLE DE L’AVENIR FRANCE HAS 400 REGULAR DONORS AND MANY PARTNERS THANKS TO WHOM WE INVEST MORE THAN 20,000 EUROS EACH YEAR IN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN THE FIELD.
BENEDICTE’S TESTIMONY:
« My name is Bénédicte TCHOKPON OUOROU. I am a social worker. Social working is a noble profession which needs self-sacrifice to satisfy others. This work sometimes requires putting yourself in someone else’s place in order to take the right decision. Because the happiness of others becomes yours, your happiness is not always primary.
It is a multi-faceted profession which makes you develop multiple skills.
The aim of the social worker is to assist the population to find solutions to numerous problems, including daily life issues and difficult situations.
Choosing Aguégués as a place of action wasn’t trivial.
Aguégués is a lakeside village, and the population are exposed to numerous problems, especially during high-water periods. The habitants are prone to numerous hydro-fecal diseases, to acute respiratory infections, malaria etc…
Habitants don’t have toilets and relieve themselves on the same water used to drink.
Our multiple actions permitted us to note that during these periods of time, children get severe anemia and sometimes die from it.
This situation raised serious questions in our minds because we faced all the different pains.
School enrollment is not the least, and all these issues pushed us to consider Aguégués village, and children life conditions above all.
The kids we are monitoring benefit from scholar, nutritional and sanitary support.
In order to slightly avoid a dependence to parents regarding our activities, we though about organizing groups of women and helping them with financial rewarding activities, cassava flour production and a lot of other projects.
It is a profession which projects you at the heart of people’s happiness.
Let me tell you a little anecdote : a tremendous feeling of happiness which drives you happens when you are in front of a kid, a family who, as soon as you give them the nutrition kit, is filled with joy, happiness and hope again, because they know they won’t go to sleep with hungry bellies.
Or even, a very ailing child that you find and who doesn’t go the medical care services because he can’t afford it. You are negotiating with the care giver for a consultation, you help him buying the medications and some days after you find him in his house running, this instant is pure happiness.
A simple thanks to all these donors who are supporting us through the association. A benefit is never lost”.
